The new BCU 3 star touring award is the latest addition to the suite of BCU performance awards. This award is aimed at paddlers who enjoy the journeying element of our sport. It tests the personal skills, and safety and rescue skills required to take part in jounreys on open-water, estuaries, or rivers with a discernable green flow, covering the skills required to deal with force 2-3 wind conditions.

Assessors

Registerated BCU 3 star assessors are eligible to access the award. BCU Level 3 coaches from any discipline, who are updated and hold a minimum of 4 star in a kayak and canoe discipline are eligible to register. As are updated BCU placid water level 3 coaches and above. Registration forms are available to download from the BCU website (www.bcu.org.uk)
